About
My journey in education began in the classroom as a high school English teacher. But while I loved the energy of a full room of students, I quickly realized that the most profound breakthroughs happen in the quiet moments of one-on-one mentorship. I founded my consultancy to provide the kind of specialized, high-level English instruction that a standard classroom setting simply can’t always offer.
My approach is built on a rigorous academic background. I am a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park (2020), where I earned my degree in English with a focus on literary analysis and composition. While at UMD, I graduated from the Jimenez Porter Writers' House (Class of 2019), a selective living and learning program dedicated to the highest level of creative and technical craft. While teaching, I earned my MSDE certificate by completing graduate coursework through the University of Phoenix. I am currently furthering my own study of the craft as an MFA fellow at CalArts (expected 2027).
With my background as a classroom teacher and an English language specialist, I bring a pedagogical rigor to tutoring that goes beyond simple homework help. I don’t just help students finish an essay, I teach them to (re)discover the art of the pen.
